NetClip

NetClip is a background utility that allows you to not only share your clipboard contents across a local area network, but to completely synchronise a shared clipboard between a group of computers.

This version of NetClip uses UDP to broadcast the clipboard contents across the LAN. Currently the program only synchronizes the text in the clipboard but work is underway for the sharing of just about anything you can copy into the clipboard.

The Focus of this project is on two or three people working on a joint project and providing an easy means for transfer of data between the computers without having to resort to using email, which is slightly over qualified for the task at hand. UDP was used to allow for ease of use with no central server, to add another person to your group they just start up the client.

Future Areas of Development

Bugs and issues

Current Status

The release version is complete, and to my knowledge there are no bugs or issues. Having said that the program has not undergone extensive testing so may contain some unexpected behaviour. Work now goes on improving the capabilities such as multi OS compliant and adding greater support for groups and possible some form of security.
